RGT Smart appoints new financial director
RGT Smart, the JSE AltX-listed market intelligence solutions provider to the automotive sector, has appointed Frans Botha as its new Financial Director and Chief Operations Officer.
“As young and emerging entrepreneurial companies mature, there is an increasing emphasis on day to day management and consequently less focus on the entrepreneurial activities that built the company and fueled its growth.
“We want to keep that focus and having a strong, experienced and dynamic management professional on board, such as Frans Botha, will allow RGT Smart to continue on the path of successful growth and expansion,” says Paul de Vantier, RGT Smart CEO.
Botha explains he will have three core focus areas as part of his financial and operations role, that is; staff engagement at all levels of the organisation, benchmarking performance and solutions driven analysis and spearheading the company’s investment to ensure a sustainable business model.
“I’ll be playing a vital role in ensuring that RGT Smart management makes smart investment choices to secure a sustainable commercial model, as well as to foster a people-orientated leadership style,” Botha says.
Botha holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree and is a qualified Chartered Account. He was part of the team responsible for the successful listing of IQuad on the JSE AltX in August 2007 and was accountable for its financial direction for five years before joining RGT Smart.
